(quick note: pictures from wednesday because I didn't find time to blog after taking them. most things pictured already progressed quite a bit)
I spent Easter with my dear friend Christian, who "forced" me to finally socialize a bit more and dragged me to meet many wonderful people - game nights, spinning groups, organizational meetings for a faire coming up in may and brunch with his family. We had a lot of fun, and despite all the socializing, I actually got quite a bit off crafting done.
Look at all the wonderful yarns I got! The sock yarn was my easter present and will be turned into a second pair of socks for my little sister, because she liked the others so much and asked for more. The orange yarn you probably recognize - Christian's wonderful handspun, I had run out of yarn for my shawl, so he used the afternoon with his spinning group last sunday to make more. It's already wound and quite a bit of it already attached to the shawl by now. The linen yarn was part of an exchange and has already been subjected to quite a few experiments - so you'll probably get to see both the handspun and the linen again very soon.
I also had some time for nalbinding: Friday afternoon had an emergency of the "my hat is too short, please make it longer so my ears don't get cold any more" kind, which I don't have pictures of. Also, I worked on two Dalby-Stitch projects which are not presentable yet, and started turning some of the small left-over skeins of yarn into a pair of colorful socks. You can see the first color above.
And last but not least: lots and lots of sewing. By now, the legs and wings are attached, only arms and lower yaw still to do.
